Motorcycles are a very basic form of motorized transportation. The engine, transmission, wheels, brakes, etc. are all hanging out there (at least in the case of vintage and classic machines) for us to see. In recent times, this classic form of motorcycle has even taken a turn toward an art form. The Norton Commando is one of the most beautiful examples of this form with its raked forward engine and the sweep of the exhaust system. At Colorado Norton Works, we strive to maintain the classic Commando form and to deliver it in a clean fresh new package. We apply our own touches to the wheels, brakes, fenders, saddle, and paint scheme to create a Commando that is not only a fresh new look but one that still respects its classy heritage.

Body, Components and Finish:

• "Original" CNW models get new stock fenders as required
• "Modified" CNW models get new steel front fender requiring no stays and stock rear fender
• For Roadster tank models, Corbin "Gunfighter" saddle is standard
• For Interstate tank models, CNW exclusive version Corbin "Gunfighter" saddle is available
• We paint our tank and side cover emblems rather than use transfers. They are smaller than stock ones and more proportional to the size and mass of the motorcycle
• Gas tanks are cleaned and sealed internally before painting
• A new, exhaust system in the classic "pea shooter" style
• Different handle bars to choose from
• Instruments are rebuilt as standard
• Instrument holders are polished
• A CNW developed chain guard, very robust and stylish, chromed
• Oil tank mounts are modified and industrial grade mounting rubbers installed to eliminate the possibility of oil tank fractures
• A CNW developed oil filter adapter is installed to allow use of common brands of oil filters
• In various areas, CNW applies chrome where it needs to shine, stainless steel where it needs to live a tough life, and fresh zinc plated fasteners (grade 8) where it strength is a factor
