Colorado Norton Works is open for business and fulfilling orders. It may take me a couple of extra days to get things shipped but we have a daily UPS service and will go to our local post office once a week. I sincerely hope everyone in our Norton community is staying healthy. You can do worse than being stuck in your garage for a few weeks working on your Commando. If there is anything I can do to help with your project, it is best to contact me via email at nortonworks@fone.net Thanks Matt

About Us

Norton Commando Custom Motorcycle Builder

Welcome to the Colorado Norton Works website

Colorado Norton Works opened its doors in 1997 with the idea to take, what I consider one of the most exciting vintage motorcycles ever built, and bring it to a whole different level of performance, finish and detail. I wanted to do something different and the goal being to bring these bikes back on the road where they belong.

Over the years cNw have developed, sourced and implemented parts and modifications that make these bikes better in every area. These machines are not a ‘restoration’ but rather rebuilds that address all the shortcomings that these machines have. At the same time we are careful not to loose the bikes identity as it’s important to me that they keep the heritage that make them so unique. The results are some truly amazing machines. Take a look in my photo gallery for some examples of what I have created and you will find not only bikes that look very close to a stock Commando, but also some where I wanted to take a fresh approach and push the limits of what could be done.

Important update: As of 10/09 2020 I decided to make a big change here at cNw and close one chapter as I move forward. I will not take on any more customer spec builds. In other words, the total rebuilds will no longer be made available as special orders. Only those machines still on deck will be completed. I have for the last 23 years build over 150 of these machines and it’s time to take cNw in a different direction. I will be focusing on my parts catalog and grow that section in order to offer a wider range of parts. I will keep developing and producing all the custom parts, upgrades and modifications. I will still be building a few bikes every year and as they are completed, those will be offered up for sale. These will be build to my own specifications and design. I am looking forward to the next phase in the cNw quest to support these great vintage bikes.

Over the years, cNw has become a leader in bringing new parts and improvements to the market in the quest to make these machines as good as they can possibly get. I have packaged many of these upgrades so that those that want to work on their own bikes can benefit from what I have learned working on these machines. These parts can be found in the parts catalog. Keep checking back as I am continuously adding new and exciting parts and modifications for your Commando. Some are big and some are small but they all have a purpose to improve your bike.

I am very passionate about what is being done here at cNw doing and with each and every bike that comes through the shop I feel that I am doing my part in bringing the most usable vintage British motorcycle back on the road….looking and running better than ever. These machines truly are ‘reborn’.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my website.
